Ok, so I have a problem. I bought the Minispares Drum to Disc conversion during the Group Buy last year.

I have finally gotten around to installing them on the car (they've been built up for months in a container) and I have found that once I have torqued the bolts attaching the caliper to the hub that the caliper then fouls against the rotating portion of the disc/hub.



Has anybody else had this problem with the kit? It appears to be only a problem on the left hand hub (offside).

Minispares have been really, really great in all of my dealings with them so far and I expect they'll be able to help me sort it quickly. This is definitely not a slight on them. I have contacted Simon for advice or the next step and am awaiting his response, but I thought it'd be useful to see if anybody had run into similar issues.

I believe that it may have to do with the rough casting process from talking to a few friends/ workmates?

It may be worth checking you have the right caliper for that side...I brought a set a while back and even though the boxes had the correct numbers I recieved 2 calipers the same. Bleed nipples should be at the top when fitted.

It's hard tell off the photo, but I'm wondering if the casting that holds the piston is upside down...fitted wrong way onto retaining section

Its a machining op been missed, after casting. They should have a flat surface, if they are out of tolerance to the point they foul. I have replied to your PM a moment ago

Hi - I have had the same issue just today, kit was bought a few months back and I am just putting it into the car now. Right side fouls, not as bad as your image, but prevents the rotor rotating. Haven't done the left side yet..... What is the fix?

contact Mini spares they will have the answer for you,which most likely is a replacement pair of calipers with a correctly machined face on the hub clearance problem
