anyone have any ideas which wire out the back of the dash is for illumination??
got no lights behind the clocks (3 clock gt) so cant see speed or fuel or anything at night, want to suss out the problem, have checked all bulbs, all fine, the circuit at the back seems good too, just got to figure out which wire goes to where from the clocks so i can see whats happened??
any ideas?

bloody hell mate! i'd get a new wiring loom with the number of electrical faults you've had this week! :w00t:
the wires should all be in the multiplug connector on the back of your clocks, just make sure they are all clean and make contact! :dontgetit:

the multiplug can be a right pain. on my mini (89) it sometimes rattles out and loose the lights so im guessing its one of the outer ones.

Im thinking of trying a clable tie around it to the dash somehow!

They're all outer ones, there's just two rows of terminals. Never known it to rattle loose, it's either not in right or damaged as it's been ripped out in the past without pressing the tag.

Red/green, same as all the other sidelights.

On late cars it's red/white as they have split sidelight circuits.
