I have a vice that I've been using but cannot get a crisp angle to the bend IE 45, 90 degree and such like.
So I was wondering is anyone has any low cost methods they use.

We have one like that but its a clarke branded one which is damaged & chipped on one end due to someone bending 2.0-2.5mm steel in it *tut tut*

It also depends on what you want to fold and how big. The small vice mounted ones are fine for small repairs but if you want to start folding your own door steps, inner sill sections then you will need a much bigger one.
Panelbeaterpeter made one so have a word with him to get some specs.

I saw those contraptions on ebay like the machine mart one but 50squids is some amount that I could put to better use on sheet/panels at the moment.
Was thinking a rather more Heath Robinson approach for the time being.

I then used a nice bit of 4 x 2" wood and a club hammer to fold the metal over. I did file a small radius on both edges to give a nice finish to the folded section.

I have one at work, I copied it and made myself one. Cost a tenner for metal offcuts and about half a day to make.http://www.machinema...et-metal-folder
