for me its more a case of trusting other peoples driving in these conditions, i would rather drive myself than potentially be in a crash where someone hasn't taken enough care.

couldnt drive my mini last night to my mates cus there was too many cars blocking it in so i walked about 6miles in heavy snow instead of getting a taxi because i couldnt bring myself to trust someone elses driving

Well I drove it around yesterday and it was perfectly fine! Apart from cutting out and needing a tow rope. But roads have got bad know here. I had a few slides in the Astra in low revs.

I'll decide in the morning. Hate the peasant wagon although it will pick me up right outside my house and will drop me off outside aswell!

Depends......if it is recently restored or rust free do you want the road salt to rapidly start and accelerate the rusting process.......

Hahah love that. I don't mind driving in this weather, I took a trip to see what my roads are like and they're all good bar two, looks like no cars have went on them and all the parked carw look like they havent moved. Plus I don't want it to break down and need to be towed home AGAIN, that's the main concern.
