I have a 1275 spi and want to fit a centre exit exhaust.

Is there a guide somewhere on how to fit these? I am only fitting from the CAT back and want to know what clamps etc I'll need to buy.

This is the exhaust i want to get
http://sportexexhaus...108/product/255

has anyone else bought this? Was it a fairly standard swap?

Cheers

I always thought they had a U shape clamp that goes around the pipe, and bolts onto the rear subframe.

If I were you i'd stick to a single centre exit, but that looks like a similar idea, just the bolts are in a different place.

Looking around other forums, the two bits sticking off the tail pipes, just require holes drilled in the subframe.

My question is the fittings further down.

should be 2 bolts which correspond to the centre section in the picture, if your car doesnt have this you can get a link pipe and use 2 exhaust clamps.

On mine there were two holes already in the middle of the subframe, I used those. Not the same exhaust as mine but the same mounting.

Cool.

Thanks, i have just ordered it and some bobbins as well.

I think ill have to drill my hole but that's not a massive issue.

Mine it fitted using the same bobbin system at the centre rear of the subframe, which is the same mounting used for the OEM exhaust.

Do you not use the square block mounting at the centre front of the rear subframe as well as the bobbins at the rear? long way between the joint of the LCB to the rear bobbins if not ??

Not sure what development work goes into sportex exhausts ? Cost wise I'd go for a RC40 which is a well proven and developed product. Took of a RC40 on mine (2 box really quiet) and replaced it with a single box maniflow and quality on the Maniflow is up there with the best but at a much higher cost.
