Hi,
I'm trying to find a 12g295 head to fit to my 1098 engine for a little power increase.
Can't seem to find one, what other head is similar, already got a 12g940 head spare, but it seems it is not a straight swap without block work, like the 12g295.
Thanks,
Mark

As long as your staying standard with camshaft lift, you can measure and see if you can fit the 940 without pocketing.
99% you can get away by recessing the exhaust valves, if you have a good search you'll find an how to guide somewhere (Calver?).

you can use a 940 head with no mods unless you use a high lift cam in which case you will have to pocket the block, the 295 will give a good power increase but you must skim the head by 80 thou to bring the compression ratio back up, my last 1098 had a 295 head, kent 266 cam, kent vs2 springs and twin carbs, it was rolling roaded at 75bhp and used to run rings around 1275's

the 12G202 is also rather good (though not as good as the 295, but could always get some mods done?) and are more available i believe?
