Am trying to fit sliding windows to my traveller. Presumably they are the same as any estate side windows. Trouble is the channel supplied by Somerford is a felt covered rubber that is much too thick for the job. You would never be able to move the windows once they are in place. The original would have been metal based. Would this work any better if you can still get it or would a plastic track do it? Seems like you need something rigid but as thin as possible.

The top channel is now a rubber double-channel while the bottom channel should still be metal based.
