Hi, I'm the proud owner Of an original rover mini 30
Was formally owned by a collector who restored the engine aswell as the rest of the car to it's original spec.

However, recently I've noticed a few patches of rust here and there, and I have to now decided to take it to a bodyshop to be put right again and then painted

But I am unsure whether to keep it the original cherry red colour or go for something else. I had a few ideas in mind but am unsure whether to keep the mini at original spec or upgrade it and make it my own

Thanks

Josh

it's your mini, but original spec limited editions make more money

Hm. I'm just so confused with what to do. I love the idea of keeping it original but it's just looking a bit dated now haha

Yep original all the way, buy a mayfair or similar if you want a custom mini.

I've deffinately made up my mind now :) thanks guys

Going to keep it cherry red but upgrade subtle things (wheels etc) also hilos and adjustable shocks aswell as a spotlight bar :)

Gonna wait a few years til my insurance drops a bit and then buy a non runner and get a project thread going aswell. Have wanted a 1380 engine for a while now. But will have a custom mini when I can afford to spend stupid amounts on insurance haha

Once again. Thanks guys :)

Josh

a 1380 means the block is then scrap once warn out as it can't be bored out any more

a 1330 at least gives you a second chance

Yeah I've decided to keep it this colour aswell now. Just gotta save for bodywork repairs and a spray before L2B haha
