[size=5]I have a 1380 block bored and ready for action. I would love to get to that magic 100bhp mark. Can anyone recommend a good camshaft that will help me towards this figure. I would like something what is still driveable on the road but is bloody good fun when it gets going. I have had a look at 731 cams and the 278, 286 Kent cams and also scatter cams but need someone with more experience to help.
Cheers Ryan.

Indeed, Minis84 has one of Morspeeds cam in a 1293 and he hit 100bhp on the rollers (can't remember whether this was at flywheel or wheels though). New member, retrodan has a Bill Richards 1380 and I should imagine this would be very close, if not over 100bhp. That will most likely have a custom Bill Richards profile cam in it, but if you PM him he should be able to get the cam figures for you from the spec booklet you get with Bills engines, you could then use this information to find a similar mainstream cam.

Ive got a med Hi-Torque cam in my 1380, which is very flexable and hit 108bhp at the flywheel at peter baldwins. Its a great cam and the power delivery is smooth with no hesitation.
