Hi all

I've compiled a list of panels I need for my 99 cooper, I just need to know th best place to get them.

Ideally I'd like to get genuine panels, it's just paying for them.........gulp

Full scuttle
Drivers door skin
Passenger door skin
Both A panels
Top dash rail

No doubt there will be more

The wings look ok, just a bit of rust at the front, has anyone managed to change the scuttle without removing the front wings?

Cheers

depends how much you're willing to pay for a genuine scuttle, they're £115 on minispares Inc vat

as for removing the scuttle panel without removing the wings I don't think it can be done, on the look out for a scuttle for mine tomorrow at bingley

if mini machines hasnt got what you're after theres always minispares, huddersfield mini spares & mini sport to fall back on :D

Brand new, I think its probably because I'm also buying a whole front end from them, but it is only £15.

Minispeed have 10% on genuine panels for TMF+ I think? 10%.

ha, yeah im defo in your boat. At least you can back out now though! Ive got the car - hoped id get away with some of it, but Im gonna need quite a few panels too. Dont think I want to be paying over a ton for a scuttle though. Is it just the fit that puts people off non genuine? as clearley the genuine panels rot anyway so is there any difference in quality on the rust side of things?

With my scuttle I was hoping to repair the lip around the bottom where the screen seal goes, as the rest of it isnt too bad really.

I already got a mig wleder a few years back and never used it, but Ive decided this mini is the car I learn on as I wont be able to afford to pay someone to do it all. Ideally, it needs

scuttle
front wings
front panel
drivers front floor repair
both a panels
dash rail
both sills
rear boot floor repair

oh, and probably door bottom repairs too.

hey ho. Still its a lovely little car though! :D
