Hi there guys,

Looking to do an agreed valuation for my insurance, just wondering what sort of price you guys reckon its worth... No rust at all, paint is immaculate, engine is perfect now its had a cooling system overhaul, no crunching into any gears. Restoration thread is in my sig for all work done :) What do you reckon then?

I'd say £4.5k easily matey! Market isn't good at the min so prices could be affected for valuations, but I reckon you could at least value it at £4k

Would you say £5k sounds fair on the agreed valuation form? Rather push it a little higher than lower :)

If you're talking agreed value rather than market price, imagine what you'd have to pay to replace it with one in similar condition. I'd go for at least £5.5k.

Yeah it is agreed value, I was hoping for around £5.5k :)

sale price you would probably get around 4k rather quickly, upto 5k if you held out as the current time of year.

but if its for insurance purposes id push for closer to 5.5k atleast if they try to knock you down (which they will) you might get it for around 5k

Well it should be more but I'm biased :D

I'd want it insuring for £6k but would probably settle for £5.5k

I think 5.5k is reasonable.

Who are you insuring with?

I'd like to get an Agreed valuation for Mia due to the time, effort and money and blood and sweat and tears LOL.

I'd bo hoping for an agreed value of 4.5k for mia.

With a car like this original colndition can add a lot. My Huey has an agreed value of only £6k because though he's a pickup & looks nice he's quite heavily modified. Mrs T's '97 mpi has the original radio/tapeplayer and owner's handbook but a couple of decals missing and the old tinworm is making a comeback, so agreed value of £5k. Same as they say on thge Antiques Roadshow, insure for replacement.

I have an agreed value of £7500 on my MPi with Adrian Flux. They did not argue with that. I just sent copies of all the receipts. It is more than just the resale value. Every car needs more money spending on it than it is worth and that should be taken into account. You should also see what dealers sell them for because that can be considerably more than a private sale. About £8000 for a 2000 Mini from a dealer with guarantee is normal. I would try for as high as you can get and see if they object.
