Cam Followers Plain Or Oil Hole?

Rebuilding my 1275 a series engine.........which should I use? Followers with or without oil hole and why?

I can't remember what Vizard suggests, but maybe look it up in the Yellow book, it'll tell you why as well.

I use normal ones with no hole - seem to remember that the holes can sometimes cause cracks and failure.

Yes, the hole theoretically allows oil to drain out, but in reality that will only occur very slowly when the engine is not running and there isn't a cascade of oil pouring into it, and how much does a cc of oil actually weigh ?
Not worth the increase in possibilty of failure in my mind.
