I think if its £150 for non-trade its £100 for trade. Don't quote me though. Halfords always have stuff on offer and usually their offers (on big things, like jacks etc) work out cheaper than the trade discount.
Phone Halfords, they'll be able to tell you.

How do you get a trade card from halfords
Proof of some sort of Motor Vehicle Repair Certificate.
IMI, NVQ, etc etc.

I did speak to the guy on the counter and he said the discounts change all the time and if the items (such as tools) are already on offer then you will not get any discount. I looked at their batteries (I need 2) and even with the discount I think Euro Car Parts is going to be cheaper.

Okay cheers guys. I'm thinking about their 150 piece tool kit which is reduced to 100 (Not on sale, so still eligible for trade discount) from 150. I've seen that when the set used to be 150, the discount you'd get it for 100, but I'm wondering how likely it is that they reduce to 50... If so I'll go for the slightly higher price 170 piece set
Bit optimiztic there like....£150 RRP. £100 at the moment and you are looking for 50% discount. Maybe 15% yeah but i doubt they can sell tools with lifetime warranty for that cheap.

Not always true, the Castrol 4 litre oil was £17.50 sale but with trade card was even cheaper! Craig, best bet is go in there with a card and ask for the prices!

I said to the guy behind the counter it is a bit of a pain in the ass having to go in and ask the discount when I can see EuroCar Parts prices online and they deliver next day. I doubt I will use the Halfords card for much more than cans of spray and light bulbs.

I thought that too, but you never know. I was going by the link that MoggyTon provided, which states
'120piece socket set RRP:£149 (but normally on offer at £99) TRADE:£89
150piece socket set RRP:£199 TRADE:£149''
Which if the current RRP is 100, surely makes it 50? But yeah I'll go in and ask a bit later
Cheers everybody.
