I bought a 998 fast road engine of my mate a year ago or so and it had some oil drilled cam followers in it with a fast road cam

He said the engine was never run but i remember the engine was run was not driven only ever started up i dont know if it was run before he put a cam etc in it

Can I re use these in my 1380 even if they been used

Although wont use followers that already have had bed in another block, but if you want to reuse them at least fit them with cam they've been running on - in the correct order too.

How long do you wish the engine to last ?

If the cam followers where new and the cam was new, you may well get away with it, however if not then bin them as the cost of new ones is neglegible when compared to a strip and rebuild when one fails, and thats assuming you are lucky enough for the rest of the engine to survive.

£13.04 for a set of 8, or run the risk of buying a new cam and rebuilding the engine...
