Hey everybody.

Just wondering if anyone could help me with a really strange problem my 1993 SPi Mini has developed. First it just started as a very high Idle, whenever I compressed the clutch the revs would shoot up and sound like I was putting my foot on the accelerator.
Since then, over the past few days it has turned into something that sounds much worse, like someone repeatedly reving the car when stationary. I have attached a video (3gp - plays fine in VLC media player) in a zip file for you guys to have a listen and tell me what you think. Any advice would be gratefully recived. I've decided that I'll avoid driving it until I sort this problem cus it sounds quite dodgy.

Thanks

Not going to llok at the vid, but hunting (as it is called) is caused by air leaks.

Thanks for the quick reply. Would you say that air leaks would be the cause of all of the reving issues? or just the most recent issue, i.e. the repeated reving not just the high idle?

Thanks
