Hi all,

Is it common/normal for corrosion to build up on the battery terminals? I bought a new battery for my 98 cooper just before winter and the corrosion built up to a point where I had to jump start her to get her going.

Cleaning the terminals seems to have resolved the problem, but I wanted to check if anyone knows of any underlying problems?

Cheers
Chris

That sounds a little excessive, if its now clean try a covering of vaseline on and around the terminal and post.
