HI Guys
my front subby is nearly ready to have the engine fitted but before i do that i wondered if i should change the final drive, I have a MG Metro engine (and box) but i am fitting 10" wheels
Should I change it and if so what to?
Any opinions appreciated

If you want best acceleration you could go fo a 3.44, which was the Cooper 'S' 1275 FDR. Or for easier cruising a 3.2:1 might be better.
It depends on how you want to use the car.

The standard diff in the MG metro engines is 3.44. With 10" wheels I'd be looking at a 3.1 or 3.2 diff, but it depends if what you want - acceleration or motorway cruising

First of all you rally need to check to see what FDR you have. Don't rely on guessing and hoping. Count the number of teeth on the crownwheel and divide the number of teeth on the pinion into that number to get the existing ratio.
