And of course how many mistakes you make. I used 2l of celly painting two wings when I was learning to paint!

We used 2.5 litres of red celly on mine and half a litre of black on roof that did around inside of car and the engine bay and still got abit left for touch ups and same again with 2.5 litres of 2k laquer if that helps :)

This has been asked here many times and opinions seem to vary wildly. This is mainly because it depends on so many variables, not least on who is actually be doing the respray. A beginner will loose a massive amount of paint in overspray, where as the amount a pro wastes will be minimal. I used 5 litres of celly + 5 litres of thinners to repsray the outside of mine (excluding the roof as that was done in a contrasting colour) and to be honest the coverage isn't great in places. That said other people here have managed to respray the whole car inside and out with that amount of paint!

With a different colour roof, I reckon to allow 3 litres for the main colour plus 1 litre for the roof in celulose. That's doing just the outside.

If using 2k solid you can do the whole car inc roof of the same colour with 1L of topcoat plus 1/2L of hardener at a 2:1 mix and 10% thinner. So in total just over 1 1/2 litres. But as it has been said before depends on who is painting it . I have been painting for over 25years and have painted lots of minis in my time and I also use a hvlp pro spray gun so it keeps overspray/ waste down .
