hi all there is a few question that i have which need answering which i hope some one can answer for me
so i have a metro turbo engine which im currently rebuilding and lots of people have suggested that i should have a programmable ecu instead of a normal ignition set up, which i have looked in to but there is no good answer on turbo minis
the first thing i would like to know is that are there any other makes that can be used instead of megajolt for the ecu ?
Also i would like to know if megajolt is the best make which model of ecu should i go 4 ?
and if anybody has any parts or a complete set up for sale i would be very interested.
thanks

There's a megajolt setup in the for sale section on here.
Megajolt is the most widely used mini-wise, so you're more likely to find a rolling road familiar with it. Another setup called 'Nodiz' has recently been released, though I don't know of a mini running on it as of yet.
There is plenty of information on both setups on their respective websites (for megajolt see the autosport labs website) and on TurboMinis.co.uk.

Megajolt is used mainly because it's cheap & simple. If you need an ECU to run injection, rather than just ignition like Megajolt does, & have loads of other fancy features, then you're looking at a lot more money.
I did my Megajolt install for less than half the price of a custom dizzy, so for me it was a no brainer.

If you're just using it for ignition, there will be no real need for a RR session.
Any ECU will do what you want, but as Phil points out, MS and MJ are cheap and available.

thanks for the info i will keep my eye out for a mj kit as there fairly common and i am using as basic ignition because my dizzy is f**ked and the price for a custom 1 as you said phil are fairy expensive so im gunna go down the cheaper way and yes i agree i would not need a RR session but im going to have 2 because the carb needs to be set up for as much power aswell as passing a mot
and thanks for the link its a shame that it has been sold
