Hi, are there 2 types of oew? Because i see mini owners saying their car is oew but most dont look alike. Most of them look plain white.
The oew i have in mind is white/ivory...correct me if im wrong please..

Not sure if there is a finite description but Old English white does seem to vary from an off white to a very creamy pale yellow. I think most people would expect OEW to be the colour of fine Devonshire clotted cream - delicious!

A lot of the later minis that are often described as being OEW are actually the Austin/Rover colour "White Diamond".

Old english white fades into the cream colour if im right as a freshly painted oew car will be white in colour at first.

Hi I'm painting my car oew and was told by the paint makers that there's loads of differences in the colour as over the years the lead was removed from the paint changing the colour slightly so I've just picked the nearest to the oldest oew colour which does look cream but still a gorgeous colour.

Arum white is a good compromise for if you don't want an offwhite that is too creamy.

For my 60 the original colour was OEW but when mixed the newer paint was nowhere near being right it was just too white, My paintshop guy mixed and sprayed a test panel and had me compare it to a piece of the original paint from under the rear seat and it was almost but not quite perfect, then he told me it was a standard MINI colour........Pepper white...... So that's what it's painted.
