Hi there

Has anyone ever refurbished/relaquered their original walnut dashboard? I haven't seen any new ones I prefer, and I'm on a budget anyway!

It's a three clock mpi dash and has been signed on the back by someone (possibly in the Rover factory?!)

thanks

Nev_Payne has

A good wood worker should be able to, veneer is only a thin coat, so you can sand back the original clear, and then re-clear it.

Thanks guys. I didn't like it at first but now I want to keep the car original. Wood and Picket ask for over £200 for a new one :ohno:

Most of the ones I saw just needed sanding and a new coat of varnish. Mine is going to get a new coat.
