So i've got a park lane and i'm tempted to keep it fairly standard, purely because its a pretty rare mini,

with a nice set of wheels, couple of spots w&p arches etc.

Just curious as to what anyone else would do if they had an LE e.g. advantage, red hot, jet black etc.

use it as you wish but if you modify it make sure you don't do anything that cannot be reversed... and don't forget to keep all the original LE bits!

Keep the original parts and do only period modifications.
Rare LEs are worth more if kept standard.

You have to drive it, you have to sit in it. If you're forcing yourself to keep it standard because thats what its worth most as then you're an idiot.

Sorry, you just are. Car's shouldn't be about, ooh, how can I make sure this is worth the most, it should be about what you like.

I prefer them completely original. Not because I think I'll be ruining it otherwise, just simply because I love them original

I'd do whatever you want with it, you're never going to make money on a mini unless you brought one in the 60-70s and garaged it for it's whole life, but in my opinion cars are to be used and loved part of the fun is modifying it!

Park lanes quite a nice special edition and you really don't see that many of them, that makes its special as it is. Start swapping out the special edition bits and it starts to become the same as everyone elses.

mod to suit you and keep all the original stuff, if someone wants a standard parky then sell on the stuff... or mod it to wihin an inch of its life and sell the rarer interior etc.

I'm not after leaving it fairly standard for value purposes, money isn't everything, i'd rather put my own touch on it to be honest whether its completely modify or subtley modify it
