have you thought about asking your local school or college ?
my company logo was designed for me by my best friends wife (before they were married) while she was at college and used as part of her course work

Dont no where to start this is for a new business i can sort a pc but cant work photoshop to make anything look good theres a free copy of photoshop cs5 extended in it for ya

i find it slightly ironic that you are requesting a designer design you a logo, with the 'prize' being photoshop, which the designer would already be using....

I was going to get involved, I use GIMP so winning PS would have been good. But I'd go with the green one above. Looks perfect.

I like the way the M over the background O suggests an evil face, and custom computers is a better name. That's assuming Dave hasn't already registered a www. etc. I think I'd try to develop the background logo into something unique and a bit more suggestive of PC's or gaming. It'd be better to have something that works in B&W as well and can be disassembled into separate graphic and text.
I trust the font is public domain, and it'd be worth checking what trademarks, & names are already registered: http://www.ipo.gov.uk/os.htm
