I'm thinking to protect myself from uberexuberance, by putting a rev-limiter on the car.

Any recommendations?

The rev limiter in a mini is located in the drivers seat, along with the abs, traction control, power steering and parking sensors

I'm quite interested in making one, but for a very different reason.
I sometimes have to leave the car in the garage for a week with the keys in so it can be moved when i'm not there.
obviousely i will never know if someone will take it for ride and rev the nuts out of it, thats why i was thinking about a rev limiter

Wondering if you could make one that lets you "select" what revs to hold the engine at, for example, if you want the car to warm up or, whilst you fetch something from the house, but not like a choke, something that doesn't alter the mixture at all....

Yeah it will do this.... Clicky Link or a little more subtle clicky . I think the accu spark one you can adjust it between 2 and 12,000 revs to be the limit :)

I got mine built into my megajolt... it is pretty useful, iv hit it quite a few times up at 7500... starts popping flames too :D
Its also granted me a win of a loudest exhaust contest at a mini show where they decided to measure the sound from the front of the car >_< webber plus rev limit is a winner
