When you say a kill switch are you refering to a battery master cut off, the ones with a red removable key? if so they fit nicely in the boot on the right hand side there is a bracket coming off the boot floor at a angle this is where I fitted mine, but it does mean you have to have access to the boot to operate it. This would not be acceptable for Motorsport or if you feel you need access quickly then it could be inside the car but this would mean a fair bit of mods to the battery main wiring. The switch in the boot on the - terminal is a simple case of removing the standard earth strap, mounting the cut off switch, a new cable is then made to connect the -battery connection to the switch and a 2nd cable made to connect the other side of the switch to the 5/16 bolt the original earth strap came off.
A cigar lighter socket needs to be wired to a suitable connection and fitted with a fuse, so its not connected to a standard dashboard 12v feed, some here mention the main feed into the ignition switch but mine is through a relay worked from the ignition on circuit and then a HD feed from the starter 12v connection. If your not ok with wiring then get someoen else to help you out. with a cigar lighter in the sockets its quite a current draw where as sat navs are not but always wire the socket to its full capability and your safe.
