I'm not at home but will get some, one would assume people who know what there worth know what they look like if that makes sense, they're definitely cooper s 3.5inch rims,

Have they got welded lugs for the hubcaps or are they moulded? are the marked lp882? any Dunlop markings? Are they pitted or rough from the sandblasting? Many things can effect value but at an educated guess they will need further prep work before painting? I would say around £100 as they will cost a further £150 to finish to a high standard. There are no fifferences I am aware of between 998 cooper rims and 1071 s rims from that era. The 4.5 rims lp883 were a factory option I believe so quite rare and a little more money. 4.5 reverse rims lp 993 were aftermarket wheels and are plentiful so quite cheap and less desirable unless arches are to be fitted. Hope this helps a little

You asked for a valuation and having sold my collection of over 15 sets of various wheels I had collected I am trying to give an honest valuation. You would very likely get more on ebay if you get two people interested. I have a set of original lp883's which have been sandbasted primed and painted to a very good standard, they have brand new tyres fitted and very importantly they are straight and balanced. I have had a few people ask about them but as soon as I say £400 they disappear lol. The wheels needing restoration would be £150 ish £40-£50 per wheel min. to restore to a decent standard (not a wire brush and rattle cans) then the new tyres they are cheap but everyone wants them for nothing. I still have 4 sets of wheels and like you I would sooner keep them than give them away as apparently they are going up in value lol!

That's the thing people don't wish to pay anything for things anymore lol I think I'd prefer to keep them for a while longer, I just watched 2 go on eBay, they looked crap, one with a crappy tire and one on its own for just short of 100 pound so you may be right with the eBay thing, but eBay does my head in, I've just sold a car and the winning bidder is from Cyprus and after me messaging them several times he tells me he can't import the car over to Cyprus and apologised, so that's fine I'm now stuck with the fees and the car still to sell!! Does my trolley in
