I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve "Mimi" as she's now called, goes into the local garage tonight to have the uprated discs and pads put on and a quick once over, to make sure everything is where it should be.
Since I've bought her I've spent out over £400 on new bits and sorting problems out, yet I've not driven it one mile, I cant wait to spend 4 days over the weekend taking it out for a good long drive.
Time to sort the insurance out today, as it's not insured, but fingers crossed by Thursday evening I'm gonna be one happy bunny!!
Wuhooooo!!

I ain't even gonna ask how old
Looking good anyway mate, sure you'll be making up for lost time. You forget how fun they are to drive sometimes, makes it all the more special when you get in one again.

28... so not too old!
Right the garage just phoned, the doc said there's a few problems... need a new tyre £34 so not too bad, my down pipe off the manifold is blowing slightly, which I knew about, can sort that out myself.
Now for the intresting bit! they dropped the oil and found traces of metal in it eeeeek! they seem to think it's gearbox related, which is odd as the box is fine, no crunches nothing.
My question, can I get a magnetic drain plug for the Mini? I really dont want to have to open the box up as I simply dont have the money to do so, but I dont want to shaft my engine with lumps of metal floating about in it!
My poor little Mimi :'(

yes there is a magnetic trap you can get that fits onto the oil pick from the outside. miniworld showed how to fit one this month i think.
