Dear all,

Can anyone direct me to the correct wiring diagram for my 79 1000cc mini... i have checked through the Haynes manual and whilst it shows 1000cc diagrams im not sure which one to use - think im just being thick!!

your not the only one ive struggled to find wiring diagrams for my 79 seems they just forgot it! that particular loom seems to have only been fitted for a few years as well.

If you go over to that other forum, thees a unfinished coloured wiring diagram in the Technical section I drew years ago. Of course someone else is claiming it now, which is strange as he doesn't have the finished article................

any chance of sending over a copy??

All looms from '76 to '85 are essentially the same. Any changes are very minor.

In particular, the colour codes for the wires are identical across all Minis, so if you go by wire colours you can find your way around the electrical system. You may have to refer to several diagrams for different areas of the system, but mostly it is just some bits that are not fitted on every model variant.

you could actually use the diagram thats on mini mania website.. its as close to mine..
