Hello,
I am in need of new cam bearings for my 1275 Cooper S block, but I am confused about which to use.

Minispares suggest using the same bearings as all 1275s http://www.minispare...ic/AEC3063.aspx

Seven Enterprises suggest using the same bearings as all other engines with tappet covers
http://www.7ent.com/...s-28g0133e.html

Which should I use? Thanks

I can't remember what rear bearing cam is used on the S-block, (not seen one for 3 years!!) there are only 2 types of bearing, wide and narrow. The narrow one is used on small bore engines. Now all you have to do is look at a normal 1275 block and look at your S block. compare the 2 and order the bearing set that matches what you have.

Cooper S Mk1 rear cam bearing is (or should be) 49/64" +/- 0.010" or for you metric people its about 19.45mm +/- 0.25mm
