Did some research and found one thread from a few years ago the doesnt really cover what im after.

I am wanting to get a smoother ride while maintaining the great handling characteristics. Im trying to decide what the best option to go with; replacing the cones with springs and which color? Getting
Hilo’s? new shock absorbers? Or a combo of all or some.
Been looking at these kits http://www.minisport...justa_Ride.html and adding the springs from mini spares.

What are your guys experiences and opinions??

If your thinking of getting coil "springs" then mini tastic do them wayyyy cheaper than minispares, all in with hilos & knuckles its £254

havent put all mine together yet so cant judge the quality, but for 254 you get 4x springs 4x hilos +2 extensions for the rear & the knuckles.
Unsure weather the price is specified for each type i.e fadt road, comfort ect....

The kit doesnt come with shocks but some gas kybs are a cheapish upgrade to use with your new setup.

I'm running minitastic springs, you need to use the adjustable trumpets with them (in the kit) and ideally some adjustable dampers too.
Have had them about 4k miles now and they're great!
Not the super duper level of performance of new red dot cones but they last a lot better, staying consistent through their whole lifespan (which also is a lot more than cones).

For me as a road user wanting a comfortable but also 'fun' ride, they tick all the boxes. But they're not for everyone, so I'd suggest trying to get a ride in a car with some new'ish cones and springs if possible to compare.
