Im currently building a mini that is powerd by a duratec engine from a ford.
Unfortunatly my mini will have to go for an iva test

A mini will need to have some sort of collaposable steering column to pass.
I was looking a maybe fitting a column from a Ford fiesta mk2 collumn as i know that its collaposable.

Will anyone know if the spline on the pinion gear will fit straight into the mini rack ? or does anyone know a steering rack will ?

The early A series Metro column will fit the Mini rack. But you will need to fabricate appropriate column mounting brackets and attachment.
