Just read about another mini theft in my area and getting really sick of it now.

What are the most expensive 2nd hand parts on a mini? I plan to mark them up as best I can to try and give some trace-ability to my car if she gets stolen and basically make sure that any thieving scumbags don't make a fortune on all the parts.

My first thoughts were wheels and engine but what else?

The most expensive bit is the entire car, once it's had an eBay purchased V5 assigned to it from a genuine car that is!! But apparently there's nothing wrong with selling V5's though, is there??

Let's make a list of valuable parts for thieves to target. Yes, good plan.

The mud under the wheel arches are worth quite a bit.

All this marking is only useful if someone looks for it, or cares about it.
When you buy used parts on ebay do you look round it for a discrete postcode or number plate.
