This is not necessarily a mini related question, but I am building a blitz buggy, which uses mini suspension at the front with the hubs etc. I am converting the chassis to take an MGF rear subframe at the back so uses all the existing running gear from the MG. The issue i have is that I will be running with the 15" wheels, with a different PCD that came with the donor car, and as such will need to formulate a way of running the 15's on the front. I have seen that you can get PCD adapters for not silly money, but I was also wondering whether you can use metro hubs at all which may allow the use of the front flanges off the MGF.
This raises another question, with the obvious increase in power over the existing Mini engine that it was designed for, would the standard 8.4 discs and calipers be up to the job of stopping the buggy? If not, would metro 4 pots or similar, used on the metro hubs be best, if it can be done? What would you guys recommend?
Again, I have a Yellow Tag M/C that I will be using, will this be ok to use with the MG rear brakes?
Thank you in advance
Ben
