Hi folks, as the topic title says, "Where have you installed your ILFF, before or after the fuel pump"

I hear conflicting benefits for both and am wanting to install one, for me after the tank and before the pump seems the best choice. I've heard others say that if forever reason one's fuel pump starts to wear and you have the ILFF before the pump then the pump hardware particles will get up to the carb and into the combustion chamber.
Many thanks

Its usually a coarse filter before the pump, then a fine filter before the carb. On my facet electric pump there was a screw in one that was on the fuel tank side, so kind of only one place it could go really.

I know SPI and MPI's have like a tea bag filter in the tank, not sure for regular tanks.

Regular tanks have usually a mesh as a filter, i'd say much its better to run a proper filter between tank and fuel pump, as long as the pump is a new one.
