Just wondering if it would be possible to fit a horn out of a say a massive transport truck to a mini :w00t: . I asked my dad but he said he thought that the lorries ran on a different voltage  I just thought this would be pretty good fun having a massive deep and loud horn on the roads, might get those BMW drivers outa the way lol! Dunno if its actualy legal but id have it as a secondary horn of course. Any people actually though of this or just me lol and info on the subject would be apreciated :w00t: thanks ,

Graham

Yup found them but
1) $250 ! having just spend money on a sound system stupid money for what it is.

2) Not deep enough sound lol

i was just really interested if the truck one would work because that would be cheeper since i could go looking on scap heaps!

Those kits sound exactly like a truck horn. They're absolutely deafening.

it actually might be possible to make one of those yourself using one of those mini compressors used to inflate tyres hooked up to a modified fire extinguisher bottle. However I'd want to mount that outside the car incase anything blows :w00t:
Just wondering what switch you'd use...

Sounds fine to me, that's one of the cheaper ones too, they go up to $400 on ebay. After all its not your average joe horn...

Why not just get a better horn, from a BMW say? I've got one, much better than the standard one! :w00t:

Truck horns run at a differ voltage... 24v

My 136db train horn arrived a few weeks ago, from the states..
$186 inc shipping, and everything to make it work on a 12v system.

Havn't tried it out yet, but it won't be long before I do :w00t:
