I use Parcel 4 Delivery (P4D) but avoid Yodel, I've heard they're a lot of faffing.

£35 doesn't sound so bad to courier something so heavy to me

At our company, we use Transworld (I work in the postroom so I'm always booking couriers). I'm not sure if they do personal stuff or if it's just for business, but I couldn't recommend them anymore, they always provide a good level of service for us. Their number is 0207 231 3131

DO NOT USE PARCEL 2 GO!!!!!

Had 2 deliveries and 2 disasters!

One parcel (a JL amp worth £100) was left outside in the rain nad thus damaged...

2nd parcel was never even picked up but I received a hoover not a tyre as I was meant to... Had to have a big rant over the phone, never again I am using them

Try interparcel, they seem better!

Ive used parcel2go and parcelmonkey and only once had a problem which they sorted very quickly.
No couriers are perfect and always get it right!
Yodel have almost always been great for me, even had something off ebay sent through them that was so badly packaged, the guy came and delivered to me first because he was worried about it getting damaged. For me thats great service!

Paisley freight is another good one as said above.
For price just try a few, it can be very different on different sites.

The only one I avoid is parcelforce - my dad had a really bad experience with them over a package that was meant to be next day guaranteed and took a lot longer! It was really important and spent alot of monry sending it and it didnt get there til much too late.
