As for tips:
Use double sided tape around the edges instead of glue. Get a big box of bulldog clips or wingback clips from Staples or Smiths and use them to hold the liner in place as you pull it around the opening so you can keep adjusting. Work from the centre of the windscreens and the centre of each body side towards the corners to pull creases out and don't do all of one side at a time but work equally on opposite sides and ends of the car. Start by clipping the front centre, then flip all the rods right-side up and clip the centre back tightly to hold it all together then work your way around. Make a tuck fold where it crosses the A and B pillars instead of just cutting and glueing as it will look better when finished. DON'T start making release cuts until you are sure you need to. Try chasing creases out first. The seams will show you if it's straight across the car, get it straight to begin with by marking the centres on the rear of the cloth with pencil and then line these up to the centres of the car. When you are happy and have trimmed it and got the screens in, leave a fan heater in the car for a few hours to get it nice and warm inside and it will pull tight and loose the surface wrinkles. DO NOT let the heater get covered up or anything and make sure it's all safe when doing this.

Surely the fan heater should be used to soften the material and pulled tight before you put the screens in
Maybe so, a good point. As the poster above it's always been summer when I've replaced one and the fabric has been nice and soft already.

I have just come across this thread and am pleased to read it because headlining is my next task.
I am wondering what happens down the A,B,C posts. In one of the boxes that came with my project there were two cards for the C posts but nothing for A and B. Do I just stick headlining material to these or should there be some sort of backing? How far down the B post should it go?
