Me again...

I've just put my first door on...

I'm missing the striker plate cover seals (Part number CZD1351) and a CZD1350 retainer...

They are both listed as unobtainable or obsolete - what do I use (if anything) in their place...?

Thanks again...

(Nearly finished now! I drove her around the village the other day without doors, windows or bonnet - was such a thrill!)

From a distant memory, that's a bit with a poor description isn't it? Is it the little rubber buffer piece and the associated metal clip?

Unfortunately I think your best bet will be someone breaking a Mk3 or possilby Mk4 car - any of the specialist breakers on the site will probably be able to help but you might need to explain what the bit is rather than relying on the desciption on Somerford etc.

Thanks!

I can make up the seal with some rubber-cork gasket....

I've had a good look at it... and it isn't quite clear to me what it is supposed to do...

Door closes with a very attractive 'CLUNK' by the way....

I think it is just a buffer. To be honest, later cars didn't have them.
