I work for a rental car company and drive everything all the time.

No 1 as worst car is Chevrolet!!!

Hyundai and Kia are now making some pretty good cars. A hyundai i20 1.2 litre is more fun and better to drive than a 1.6 astra.

One of the most fun small cars you can drive is a hyundai i10.

At the moment my favorite brand is BMW, just everything is good with them.

Im so glad so many of you agree that Renault are crap. Its almost like they have been designed as a example of how Not to do things!

What apart from their 5* Safety ratings across the range, and one of the best hot hatches of all time, infact all of the Renault Sport range is absolutely brilliant.

The Twingo 133, Clio 172/182, Clio 200, Megane 225. They handle great and they go like the nuts.

I'll just leave this here:

Obviously you haven't had to change the cam belt on a clio...

Even the alternator belt is a nightmare unless you have the fingers of a 5 year old

I have, did the belts on a PH2 172. Its a pig of a job, which is why most owner send their cars to specialists to have done, at close to £700! It's one of the worst to do! But I never said they were good to work on!

Not lived with one, glad I haven't!

Had an Alfa 156 in at work, 70k miles and needed a new gearbox, cv joint, 2 balljoints, 2 wheel bearings and a couple of other things, 2007 plate too! Was awful to drive once we fixed it all up too, just felt like a vectra in fancy dress!

But a good car means, good to drive and good to work on, who wants to be forking out that much money for a job that shouldn't be too difficult?

Mk4 golfs gearboxes are too weak and to have any VAG car without the engine light on (lambda sensor fault) is a miracle!

Really ive done over 100k in my mk4 golf 1.8t that already had 60k on original turbo gearbox, lamba sensor, maf sensor, but as Bean said the newer one are not as good as they used to be :goaway:

The Vauxhall Algia is only at the top because no-one bought one, therefor they never had a chance to break!

Awww yesss the Holy HR-V is in 8th position, which is very true. 120 thousand miles and it still runs like a trooper.

Since when does "reliability" make the best car manufacturer ?

We all love Minis, but it's not the reliability that we go for, else we wouldn't be here!

I bet I'd have more fun in the Alfa than most of the ones above it!
