Hi my car is due to get bodywork done and I need the paint code, I've checked the forum on here and looks too be flame red, its a 1991 carb cooper, now I've checked the VIN and the code on there is NWU, cannot find that code on this forum, I know it might not be the original VIN, wondered if someone can confirm it being flame red 89/ as that's what the forum says or if that code on my vin is a RSP cooper code thanks

Have a look on this page. it is a colour search tool for Spies Hecker paint. it can only help mix up the colours if you actually have their paint system, but the colour names and colour codes are the same.

Came back COF 818 FLAME RED but looks more maroon then red :/ and also it don't recognise NMN 655 can anyone clarify?

Hm see even that looks "brown" as well, my colour looks exactly like the middle picture on COF on this forums paint guide the H reg cooper boot showing in picture, but when you look up that code the picture looks brown, I no It might be the picture, i checked in halfords and their match to flame red 89 seems correct
