Hi all

Just a quick one if you could help will be great

Was changing the reverse light switch on my mini 1989. once i had fitted it checking the lights was working and yep it did took car of axle stands, went to drive it back in garage and the pedel was like a spnge compaered to the rock it normally is.

Where do I start to check and find out the probelm?

it has fluid in the pot. I dont think it is the plate as when press the peddle its soft and it comes back up with no worrys.

Any ideas of what it coud be or where to start and is it a easy fix if not any one live worsley, Manchester area that can help (paid of course)

Thank you
Carl

Check the slave cylinder for leaks, it may have blown the seals.

Yes....check slave.
Also check the hose to the slave, may need replacing.

I would check the whole hydraulic portion. Mine went out last year. It ended up being the master went bad. Since I was in there, it was just as easy to replace everything, master, hose and slave. No problems since.
