Anyone know where I can get a gear stick extender. I've thought about making one but to be honest id rather have one that looks proper. Either a straight or bent will do. Anyone know who sells them or has one going?

I'm guessing you just have to find out your thread size and buy a universal one.

i need to extend mine as the standard remote shifter wont reach back far enough as i have moved my seats back alot. I plan on using a magic wand shifter and bending it to the right spot. I think that will look pretty stock and neat. :shades:

hahaha, epic win with the kiddies toy hand.

I tried mini spares and as you said its out of stock, probably forever :(

I did however see a straight one, about 3 inch long which would have been enough to lift it to a comfortable level. It was on ebay a few weeks back but when i went to bid it had ended and haven't seen another one since :(

The thread is 5/16 unf (7.9mm) if anyones a dab hand at cutting, drilling, counter sinking and tapping steel bar they could make a few quid as they seem to be popular

FOUND ONE (apparently you have to type it as a thai/china man would say it) china will copy and market anything lmfao.

Obviously coming from china i'm not 100% sure about the quality but to be honest i can't see it making much difference as its not exposed to the elements (all my door and window seals work, including sun roof, its true lol) and it won't get touched really apart from reverse gear selection.

and theres 9 available.

Strange request corner.
Have you got a picture of it in your hand so i can get a better judgment of size please? It says its 5 inch but is that thread tip to bottom or just the bar (thead bottom to bottom of the bar) as this would make about 1-2 inch difference once its attached.
I only originally wanted the 3 inch extension (3 inch once mounted) but this may only be 3 inch once its mounted

Have a look on ebay or google under: Speedwell gearstick extensions, there are normally a few floating about. I got one off Andy Harrison at " Acespeed" awhile ago but i had to re-thread the gear lever to get a good fit as i bought a Minispares quick shift kit.
