beware of "cheap" sets of twin carbs, they will be cheap for a reason....and the reason is usually that they need rebuilding/refurbishing which can cost a fair bit of money, also make sure that the carbs are actually for a mini and not a MG midget/sprite as the inlet manifold is at the wrong angle for a mini and the carbs will hit the bulkhead.

to fit twin carbs you will need the carbs "obviously".....an inlet manifold for the twins (a mini one and not a spridget one), an exhaust manifold...either an LCB or a cooper freeflow manifold and a decent exhaust system as none of your original parts will be compatible to fit the twin carbs.

to be honest if your engine is a standard 998 then i wouldn't bother with twins as you wont get a lot of benefit from them without other engine mods plus your insurance will go up by quite a bit especially if you are a young driver.

just putting on twin carbs would be wasting your time and money.........you would need a head, cam and LCB to get you going...... :proud:

you need to ask the seller for the casting number on the inlet manifold, then come back here and tell us what it is, we will be able to tell you if it is a mini manifold or not.

i still think that you are wasting your time with twin carbs on a standard engine though!

the 12G 1451 is an MG midget manifold and not suitable for a mini
