i have a vinal roof (stuck on to metal) and i need to take it off to paint my roof. how can i get it off?

Depends how long its been on.
Of its been on a fair few years and its all abit "dry", grab a loose edge and start pulling, it comes off really easy.
What it leaves you with it the glue, which is also dry, which rubs off by hand but if your painting the roof you might as well just sand it off while your paint prepping.

i dont think he means viynl decals, i believe hes talking about the vinyl covered roofs that the specials had? Could be wrong though.

Doh, yes I am talking about a vinyl roof.

Lol! that's handy to know.... I'm actually gonna be putting a vinyl roof on mine! went to a car boot sale and found a completely unused still bagged 70's vinyl roof kit....£2!!!
got the glue and i'm just scratching up the paint on my roof then i'll be fitting the beast!
