Lights Test

I bought the lights awhile back but never put them on because i bought a wavy grill since and dont want to cover it.i would like to test them before i sell them,is there a way i can test them briefly like straight to a battery?not sure with wiring but i dont want to sell broken items

Yes, discover which is power and which is negative and connect to the battery...

get a car battery and in your case looks like the red wire connected to the relay with the black tape on the terminal is live to all lights.

connect that to positive of battery....

I suspect the lights earth through the mountings so touch each mounting to the battery negative.


actually scrub that, closer look at the photo some of those connections look dodgy.

Easiest is to look at each light will probably have a single wire coming out of each...connect that to battery positive, case to negative.

If 2 wires just connect one to positive one to negative doesn't matter which.

Cheers for the advice.trouble is i now have blurred vision for the next half hour because lights are bright.taxi for nobby!

Maybe next time don't aim the lights at yourself :P
