Though I say that, early TT's were known to have violent handling characteristics.

its not iRobot! Did the car get a fright at a bin and leap in to the house?

I think It may be the drivers fault

It must of been a hell of a speed, my mate Dave Baker did similar in an Rs2000 in 1989. If anyone lives in Little Eaton near Derby, you can just still see the yellow paint on the vicarage wall (on the left just after a turn as you come into Little Eaton from the A38 island). He was doing about 40 (the limit) but it was wet and he wasn't used to rear wheel drive cars as he had only had it a week (he had gone from a russet brown mini). He bounced off the wall but did take out a lamp post. What speed that guy must of been doing, I can't begin to guess.

They got recalled for ESP, Suspension and a spoiler so that it had some downforce on the back end...

It's completely the drivers fault, however, if his TT didn't have these items done, it would explain why he lost it in a supposed 'sports car' thats meant to handle like the dogs danglies.

I know they did, but still. it wouldnt just do that on its own.

it is the drivers fault yes, well done.

He must have been driving like a *******, because no regular or even slightly erratic driving would end up like that

Not a problem, just closed your thread.

With regards to this crash we had one down the road where i used to live in Peterborough.

A father and son found them and the dads Volvo embedded in the first floor flat of a young lady.

The father died, the young lady had just left the room the Volvo impacted in. He the father had hit the roundabout way too fast careened around the roundabout hit the kerb and took off.

So the son lost his dad, the young lady had her flat rebuilt and was probably traumatised for life all because of speeding. No mechanical faults.

There was a similar case in Ruislip, North London a few years back, but in that case the house in question was at the bottom of a hill on a sharp bend. The car essentially took off from the brow of the hill and landed in the front bedroom on the upper floor of this house. The driver broke both his legs, not from the collision, but from when he opened the car door afterwards to get out and fell to the ground, not realising that he was actually fifteen feet in the air!! >_<
