Hi, Bit of a problem with my 97 mpi, Starts up fine when cold and runs perfect, but once its warmed up it starts to rev up to 4k+ and just sticks there, but blip the throttle a bit and it drops back to normal idle,
You can leave it idling normal and drive it without touching the throttle and the revs will shoot up then also.

anybody got any ideas? I read that throttle bodys are a bit troublesome on the mpi's but dont really want to splash out on one of them unless i have to.

Try cleaning the air idle control valve with electrical cleaner. And double check all electrical connections are joined properly.
