A couple of years ago I put one of those M+M cheap electronic ignition kits on but have decided to go back to points. I've put the points back in but I seem to have a spare wire left! The M+M kit has 2 wires coming out of the side of the dizzy, one with a bullet connector (black) and one with a spade connector (red) which went to wires on the loom. The points however only have a spade connector so I'm left with a bullet connector (white wire) coming out of the loom, and the question is, where does it go please? (1984 automatic, 59D4 dizzy, 1275 engine transplant)

To the coil '-' or 'CB' terminal. There should be a short length of white / black cable running from the coil to the dizzy inside the loom that you use for this connection. The power supply for the ignition module should be insulated to make it safe and check the coil has the right type of supply for it (12v or ballast as appropriate).

Thanks for that, I'll check it out tomorrow, but jut to be sure, it's points I've gone back to, no ignition module.

where ever the black wire from the m&m unit connected, connect the wire from the points to that.

The wire that went to the red wire on the m&m unit tape that up.
