Started to fit the rear wiring loom today. Added extra some cables for reversing and fog lights, rhs and fuel pump. And luckily it all fitted through one fireproof gland.

That's a bit of a way go. Helps me appreciate working from home. Will probably go to Riviera and have a nosy for a couple of hours, and then get back on with building the mini :-)

Cheers Alex. Been busy re-routing and adding cables. Also extra gauges, and fitting a battery master cut-out switch...Very therapeutic wiring :D

Got a little bit more done this weekend. Wiper motor has only a single speed, so decided to add the third motor brush (yellow wire) to make it a two speed motor while i'm giving it a bit of a tidy up.

Ready to fit back in...Just need to fit a two speed switch and an extra cable now  :D

Done a bit more with the dash this week.

Now that I've decided to make the centre extension separate from the rest of the dash, I made up the shape using some plastic sheet cut to the size and shape I wanted. Then held it together with some gaffa tape.

Next I sprayed the inside surface with some release agent. Then I spread a layer of fibreglass bridger on the inside surface.

Had to put a bit of filler on to level out the surface as the heat of the fibreglass resin warped it slightly.

Meanwhile I decided to cover the main part of the dash with some leather textured vinyl fabric. Hopefully giving it a textured surface, it should help stop the light reflecting off the surface.

I've only glued the front on so far as I want the glue to set properly before I try to stretch it around the top and bottom.

So far so good. Once this is finished I will be able to make a mould of it :D

Bit of a tight stretch to glue the top part, so had to clamp it in place
