Try anyvan.com

You post details of what you want moved (including cars), where from and where to etc. Then enter the max price you will pay. After that it works like the reverse of e bay, and transport companies, recovery companies, man with van etc bid down the price to what they are willing to do it for.

Best to hire a trailer, if you have a car to tow it with. Maybe cheaper than getting a courier.

Have a search of car trailer hire. I think it would be around £30 a day, then it's just your fuel.

For a small camping/multi purpose trailer maybe, but you'd be lucky do get a car transporter trailer at that price in my experience. I hired one a few months back to collect my project car with and the going rate then seemed to be more like £50-£60 per day.

You can hire proper transporter trucks for about £95 a day. Far more legal to use on a standard car licence.

Yeah good point, I always forget that you might need a towing licence these days, (i.e. if you passed you test after 96). Mind you, if you're only talking about towing a classic mini on a transporter, then wouldn't that probably be under the combined 3,500kg limit on a new standard cat B licence? (depending upon the weight of your particular tow car & trailer obviously)

Or use Shiply
A mini can be towed on a normal license if the trailer is a reasonable weight
I got pulled by the fuzz towing a mini van on a full trailer and only mentioned the fact a tail light was out
I was 20 too & look half that age back then haha!

Yes you need to be under 3500kg gross weight. Most of the ones that you can rent can take up to 1500kg on the back of them. I looked at using one to get my astra home when the engine blew up on me in stoke a couple of weeks ago. Luckily my astra weighs 1440kg.

Considering that they are probably safer to use than a trailer and they come with an electric winch and tie down straps they are not a bad idea.

The link below is for a company I was looking at:

A buisness near bath called Avon trailer co

They are brilliant trailers I can't drive but my dad hires there trailers to collect cars and I use them to move my mini
